By the Lords of the Council.

It is this day ordered in Council, that their Majesty's Attor-
ney General do forthwith proceed by scire facias against the
Charter of the Lord Baltemore Lord Proprietor of Maryland,
in order to vacate the same,
a true Copy.

If the Kinge does consent to my going with Lord Balte-
more's Commission, then that Commission to be as full as the
Commissions that other Governors have and that my Lord
give the Commission, be during the lives of the Kinge and
Queen revocable only by the Kinge or Queene and that the
Kinge give his Instructions.
That my Lord give halfe of the 2s per hogshead and quit-
rents with all the perquisitts that other Governors have in the
neighbouring Colonys that his Lordshipp lende one of his
howses.

Commission for Coll: Copley to be Governor of Maryland.

To all to whome these presents shall come Charles Baron
of Baltemore in the Kingdome of Ireland Lord Proprietary
of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon in America sendeth
greeting Know Yee that the said Charles Baron of Balte-
more for divers good considerations him there unto especially
moveing and also with the approbation and by the speciall
Nominacion and Appointment of the King and Queen's most
excellent Majestie's, Hath constituted made and appointed
and by these presents for himselfe his Heires and Assignes
doth constitute make and appoint Lionell Copley Esqre Lieu-
tenant Generall Chief Captain, Chief Governor and Com-
mander and Chief Admirall both by Sea and Land of the said
Province of Maryland in the parts of America and of all
Islands, Territorys and Dominions whatsoever in any parts of
America thereunto belonging And of all and singular Castles,
Forts Fortresses, Fortifications Munitions Shipps and Navies
in the said Province, Islands, Territories and Dominions there
aforesaid. And the said Charles Baron of Baltemore doth
further hereby Give and grant unto the said Lionell Copley
all and singular the Rights, Privileges, Iurisdictions Revenues,
