of our native Country & Kingdom of England to its ancient
Lustes, purity and splendor, justly intituling you unto, &

placing on your Royal heads the Imperial Crown of the Eng-
lish Territoryes; so we cannot but somewhat lament that Wee
(who have so special and particular a share and benefitt in
these your so glorious undertakings & accomplishmts, have not
had the opportunity of appearing more early in the testification
of our due sense and acknowledgment of your Majesty's
Royall and Princely care & indefatigable paines therein taken
and susteined, crowned with the blessing of Almighty God
upon your pious Endeavours. While the unhappy constitu-
tion of this Government (under which wee have for sometime
lived and groaned) hath hitherto impeded, by endeavouring
by all the sinister ways and means possible not only to
divert your Majesties loyal Subjts here from the faith and
allegiance which in Law and gratitude they owe your Maj-
esty, but also by threatening and menacing with ruin and
destruction such as should but dare to acknowledge the same,
stiffling and consealing (as we humbly conceive, and have
just reason to suspect) such orders and Instructions for the
proclaiming of your Majesty's lawful and undoubted right to
and possession of the English Monarchy, and its Dominion, as
the rest of our neighbouring Colonies have received & pro-
mulgated, until at length stirred up by the overruling hand of
Divine Providence in opening our eyes to discern our Duty.
Wee have undertaken, and hope in a short time to compleate
throughout this Province the publick and general acknowl-
edgement of your Majesty's undoubted right thereunto, as
well as other your Dominions and Territories, having for the
purpose taken up arms in your Majesties Names, and without
the expence of one drop of blood blessed be God rescued the
Government from the hands of your Enemies and shall reserve
the same in such secure manner as wee can for your Majesties
Service, until such time as in your princely Wisdom you shall
deign to make settlement thereof upon such person and in
such manner and form as to your Majesties shall seem meet
and convenient, whereunto wee shall with all readiness and
alacrity imaginable most heartily & dutifully submit and sur-
render, (according to the tenor of our Declaration, to which
wee humbly beg your Majesties relation) Imploring your Maj-
esties most serious and speedy consideration, and favourable
construction of our truely loyall and dutifull endeavours herein
for your Majesties service and Interest, together with the Prop-
ogation & Advancement of the Protestant Religion, wherein
and for which your Majesties have so signally appeared and
demonstrated to the world your Zeale. The great God of
heaven who hath hitherto assisted you in your undertakings
continue still on your side, and prosper and conduct you
