Hill, who was alsoe Ordered to Acquaint them that noe sum
of Tobacco Gann be, furthr Allowed, vnless the bill for Assess-
ing the Publique Charge be faire drawne Over wch there is

Which being done his Lops Answeres
To the bill prohibitting the Imbezelling his Lops
Ordnance &c That there is a Law for that alreadie,
wch though seveer Enough in the letter yet found
|
Insufficient to deterr Ill minded people from Imbezelling them,
soe that a Law proposeing lesser penaltyes as this doth, Cannot
be sufficient to that end, Therefore his Lop sayes he will Advise
therevpon
To the bill provideing agt suddayne Accidents in the Gov-
erment:
That he hath soe sufficiently provided for all things Con-
teyned in tht bill That he thought there was need of itt,
To the bill for Continueing the payment of the Imposition
of 2 s p hh to his Lops Sonne &c: his Lopp returnes his thankes
to both his houses for their kind Tender thereof, And Desires
it may not be ill taken if he Declines it at present:
lo the bill for Reviveing the Temporary Lawes: His Lop
sayes that in that bill there is mentioned an Act for killing of
to bee revived, by the same, wch Ought not to have
been there because by an Act of Assembly for Ascer-
tayning the Lawes of this province the sayd Act is made per-
petuall and soe has noe need of being revived: To wch Mr
Speaker made Answere That though tht Act was by a mistake
put into the Act for Ascertayning the Lawes, wch law for Ascer-
tayneing the Lawes is a perpetuall Law, Yet he humbly Con-
ceives that the Act for killing of wolves, being in its Owne body,
Expressed to be Temporary is not made perpetuall by being
barely Incerted into the Other, for though that Law be per-
petuall wch Ascertaynes the lawes therein mentioned to be
