         January 23th 1649. Anne Tompson the wife of Willm Liber A.

       Tonipson late deceased sworne by mee Wifim Bretton accord

       ing to the tenor of her Letter of Administracon bearing date

       at St Maries 11o January 1649

         January 29o 1649. Lt Rich: Bancks. ffrancis Pope and Robt

       Robins made Affidavit before mee Willm Bretton to appraise

       all such goods debts &c wch should bee brought before them

       (to bee appraised) by Anne Tompson Wch were of Willm

       Tompsons late deceased

         I Margarett Brent Attorney to my Brother Giles Brent haue

       sold and delivered vnto Lt Willm Evans one 2 yeare old Heifer

       of black Couller with blackish Hornes with a great deale of

       White vnder her Belly Cropt of both Eares, being one of my

       brother Giles Brents stock brought from Kent And I the said

       Margarett doe Warrant the sale of the said Heifer to Lt Willm

       Evans or his Assignes from all just claymes in Lawe.

       vppon 2 Bills shewed in Court. By one of wch it appeared

       that the decedent Allen was ingaged vnto the pltes wife then

       the relict of Smith gent for paymt of 600 l of Tob to her in

       November 1639 And by the other the said Allen was to pay

       to daniell Cugly or his Assignes 80 l of Tob in October 1639.

       Wherevnto the defts alleadged that 381 l of Tob: part of the

       said debte was satisfyed and pduced a Receipt thereof vnder

       the hand of one Giles Bashawe (whom Mrs Eltonhead present

       in Court acknowledged was Attorney of Capt Phillipp Taylor

       her former Husband) and was paid to the said Capt Taylors

       vse wherevnto noe obieccon being made It is ordered that the

       said defendts shall pay vnto the plaintiffe Twoe hundred nynety

       and nyne pounds of Tob: being the Remainder of the said

       debt due vppon the said Bills. Execuc ad satisfaciend 12o
