460 Court and Testamentary Business, 1648.
Liber A. Edw: Commins complayneth agst Edw: Hudson for deteyn ing a Gun from him, wch was bownd ouer to him, in leiu of a Debt of 200 l Tob. dew from John Deere. wart ret Ut suprâ.

Decembr 11th Capt Robt Vaughan complayneth This accon is wthdrawen . — by the Complt 12 Decembr agst Tho: Bradnox in an accon of 1648 Conspiracy & dammage to the ualew
of 10000 l Tob & cask. ffor tht the sd Thomas Bradnox, some time in Aprill in the yeare 1647 came in company wth the Rebells of Kent in armes att 2 seuerall times, & assaulted the howse, where the Cornplt lyued. Two guns being shott att tht p. 223 time att the Coffipit by him the sd Tho: Bradnox, or some of the company. By whose meanes the complt lost 2 seruts And allso for tht the Sd Tho: Bradnox uiolently & contrary to all right & justice, deteyned the Coffiplt prisoner, in the howse of the sd Tho: Bradnox, for the space of 3 weekes, or thereabouts; not prmitting him att any time to goe to his owne home, wthout gyuing Bond of 5000 l Tob, for his returne uppon demand. In wch time of his imprisonmt the Complt had 4 hogsheads of I'ob burnd by those Rebells, & susteyned other damages, during the sd time, to tht ualew, as hee shall make appeane. wart to the Sheriffe of Kent & St Maries ret Jan Court next.
Nouembr 20th 1647. The Depn of Mr Nicolas Browne taken in an Enquiry made by Mr ffrancis Brookes concerning some cattle escheated to the Ld propr This Dept sayth That about flue weekes since hee heard Henry Morgan of Kent declare how tht Willm Lant had sayd, tht somtime in summer last, there was a Steere killd att Broad Creeke, wch had apperteyned to John Abbotts estate. ffurther he deposeth not. Jurat. Coram Giles Brent.
