                 372    Court and Testamentary Business, 1647—8.

            

            Liber A.   Banks, & Willm Wright, of the sd pro: & place Plantrs one black

                  pied three yeare old heifer, & one Cow calfe, & one black year

                  ling heifer. The wch sale I auouch to be good agst any man

                  wtsoeur tht may pretend agst it. And in consideraon whereof

                  the sd Rich: Banks & Willm Wright haue payd unto the sd ffrancis

                  850 l of good Tob: & one barrell of Corne, & 14 poultry.

                  Wittnes my hand this 22th of ffeb: in the yeare of Or Lord 1647

                    Know all men by these prnts tht I Mr Jno Pyle of the pro: of

                  Mary-Land haue made sale to Marks Pheypo of the sd place,

                  one Red Cow, aged 3 yeares, wth warantise of the sd Cow &

                  her increase agst all men. The sd Cow being cropd of both

                  eares, & the left slitt. Hee the sdI Marks Pheypo taking her

                  where he £nds her. wittnesmyhand this 19th day of Jan: 1647.

                    ffrancis Poesy demandeth of Thomas Wagott one barrell of

                  Corne.

                    Wart to the Sheriffe ret. po Martij.

                    Sub:    pena to Walter Waterlin to testify in ditta causa.

            

                    ffrancis Pope aged 38 yeares & upwards sayth uppon his

                  oath (att the request of Mr Cuth: ffenwick Attorney of Capt

                  Tho: Cornwalleys) That the Mr ffenwick reck & marked of

                  this Depnts 5 hogsheads of Tob: wch this Dept owed to Capt

                  Cornwalleys Wch sd hogsheads (after Capt Ingle came to plunder

                  the Country) Ralph Beane came to this Dept & demanded the

                  sd Tob: to be carryed aboard the sd Ingles ship telling this Dept

                  tht Capt Ingle had sent for it. To whom this Dept answered

                  tht he was discharged, & therfore would deliur none of it,

                  accept to Mr ffenwick himselfe. Wheruppon the sd Ingle com

                  manded all the sd Tob: to be carryed aboard him wch was done

                  accordingly to this Depts knowledge Sig.
