Edmund Smith aged 30 yeares or thereabouts att the re quest of Stephen Salmon sayth uppon his oath tht Mr ffenwick in the plundering yeare killed a Steere of the sd Salmons, & 120 after the steere was killed the sd Salmon comming to Mr ffen wick sayd tht tht Steere was his to wch Mr ffenwick replyed, saying in this Depts hearing, tht hee would putt it downe in his booke & giue him the sd Salmon another for it, of the same age. The Depn of Edward Packer taken att the request of Mrs Brent added to the Depn taken att the Court 40 Jan. ffurthemmore the Dept sayth tht att the time of lending the Tob: to Capt ffleete he acquainted the sd Capt ffleete tht the Tob: was Mrs Margaret Brents Tob: & tht he sd Capt ffleete accepted of the Tob: as lent by Mrs Margaret Brent.
