s^d Prouince of Mary-Land or the greater part of them,
whereof o^r Leiu^t for the time being to be one. And wee doe
hereby further grant unto yo^w, & euery of yo^w full power &
authority, to attatch, arrest, or by yo^r warr^ts to cause to be
arrested & attatched & to bring to due punishm^t all Offendo^r
& Offendo^rs in weights & measures, all forestallers of mar-
ketts, regrato^rs, ingrossers, extortioners, riotors & other offend-
o^rs agst the publique wellfaire & peace of o^r s^d Prouince of
Mary Land And we doe hereby command all o^r sheriffs,
Officers, & Ministers w^tsoeu^r that they & euery of them be
obedient to yo^w o^r s^d Commis^rs & euery of yo^w in all things as
becommeth. Gyuen under the great seale of the s^d Prouince

Novemb 11.
These are in his Lo^ps name to prohibite all & every the in-
habitants of this Province to lend, give, sell, or barter any armes
or ammunition whatsoever vnto any Indians within this Province
without leave first had from the Governor of the Province for
the time being, and to authorise any inhabitant of this pvince
who shall meet w^th any Indian within this Province (without the
said licence) having w^th him any ammunition, to take the same
from him, and deliver the same vnto the Govern^r for the time
being : And likewise to prohibite all the said inhabitants of this
Province to enterteine or receive into their houses (without the
aforesaid licence) any Indians whatsoever as they will answere
the contrary at their pill. Given at west S^t Maries the 13^th of
Novemb. 1644.
