June 4th Lower House of Assembly
Ordered tht the members of this house Waite on the
Members of the Upper house to morrow morning
Cap. Loyd Sent to Informe this house tht the Lower house
have agreed wth Captaine Quigly for Three hundred Thou-
sand Pounds of Tobaccoe to build the State house accord-
ing to the dimensions drawne up in the Act for the same & to
be Paid halfe when halfe done & the Rest when quite ffinished
Allsoe the sd Quigley in the sd time & for the same Considera-
con is to build a Brick or Stone Prison of Twentie foure foote
Long & Twelve foote Wide wth a Particon in it & Loft & to
ffinish all by the Last of October Come Two yeares or Else to
forfeit his Worke & ffiftie Thousand Pounds of Tobaccoe for
wch he is to give Security presently Allsoe this House doth
Request tht the sd Quigley may have the benefit of Keeping
the Prison for Seaven yeares
This House doth Concurre wth the Lower house in the
agreement wth the sd Captaine Quigley here above Specified
The House is Adjourned till to morrow morning
