Saturday 1 a Clock afternoone

The howse called: All p^rsent (Except My Rich: Preston as
afore)
Ordered th^t M^r Will^m Coursey present to the Vpper howse
the heads of of those Lawes, w^ch this howse iudge necessary
should bee repealed, as allsoe the heads of all those other
Temporary Lawes meete to bee reuyved.
Co^ll Will^m Euans came & p^rsented two Pet^ns (Viz^t) the Petⁿ
of Henry Adams sheriffe of Charles County, & the Petⁿ of
John Miller.
Was read the Petⁿ of Henry Adams demanding ffees for
imprisonm^t of Hannah Price, & Mary Marler, amounting to
the sume of 5715^l Tob. And likewise for Conueying Indian
Prisoners downe to S^t Maries amounting to 1875! Tob. in all
7590! Tob.
This howse doe Judge th^t the first sume (Viz^t) 5715 Tob,
bee payd by the Inhabitants of Charles County. The Lawes
of this Province now in force having sufficiently provided, as

to the payment of ffees due from Criminalls in such Cases.
As to the Latt Tob. the Law made Ano 1662 doe pro-
uide take order where the sheriffe may rep ffee in
that Case.
