  • Virginia. This is derivative 3, done from state 6 of the 1612 John Smith map. The map first appeared on p. 17 in DeBry's Dreyzehender Theil Americae, Franckfurt, 1628 and later in 1655 in Gallfreidt's Newe Welt und Americanische Historien, Franckfort. 1628. MSA SC 1399-1-41 [HFC 128B5]

  • Anglorumin Virginiam aduentus. This is a diagrammatic sketch of the arrival of the English in Virginia showing the area from Cape Hatteras to south of Cape Henry. The location of the Roanoke settlement is indicated. The plate was included in part I of Debry's Grand Voyages. 1590. MSA SC 1399-1-275 [HFC 090B5]
