Attended Wardell High School, Wardell, Missouri; Southeast Missouri State University, B.A., 1953; University of Missouri - Columbia, M.E., 1956; University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law, J.D., 1956. Served in U.S. Marine Corps, 1956-59 (head general courts-martial trial counsel, 2nd Marine Division). Southeast Missouri State University, B.S. (education), 1959; Catholic University of America, M.A. (congressional studies), 1993; Washington College of Law, The American University, LL.M. (law & government), 2005. Attorney. Admitted to Maryland Bar; District of Columbia Bar; Missouri Bar. Delegate, Democratic Party National Convention, 1964. Member, Anne Arundel Democratic Central Committee, 1990-2006 (chair, 2003-04). Member, Crofton Kiwanis Club (past president); Division 14, Capital District, Kiwanis International (past lt. governor). Founder and charter president, Chesapeake Toastmasters Club. Past Master and 50-Year Pin, Masonic Lodge, A.E. & A.M. Founder, Crofton Runners Club, Crofton Kiwanis 10K, Odenton Kiwanis Five-Miler. Life member, Sigma Chi Fraternity. Member, Board of Deacons, Crofton First Baptist Church, Crofton, Maryland. Married; three children, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Died March 17, 2019 in Wardell, Missouri.
