Matters in dispute on contract #0180 referred to Chairman, Petition for extension of road to Damascus. Hootman Bros.' oontraot #0141 to be shortened. Dr. Remsen moved that the changes in the engineering department forces, as reported by Chief Engineer Crosby, under date of May 38th, 1912, be approved. The motion was seconded by Mr, Ramsay, and adopted* Dr. Clark moved that the matter of taking over the bridge across College Creek at Annapolis, in Anne Arundel County, as requested in the letter of liay 21, 1912, from Ridgely P. Me IT in. Counsel to the Board of County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County, be referred to Counsel for report to the Commission, The motion was seconded by Dr. Hemsen, and adopted. Dr. Remsen moved that the amended bid of the Juniata Paving Company of Philadelphia, Pa., under date of June 4, 1912, on Contract $05 on the Washington Boulevard, aggregating 910,446,32, be accepted, and the oontraot awarded. The motion was seconded by Mr. Goslin, and adopted. After discussion of the claim of the Roland Park Company, under date of Hay 28, 1912, for a rebate on replacing brick pavement on the Falls Road (Contract #0180) covered by Permit #191, Dr. Clark moved that this Commission does not feel justified in making any departure from the general rule previously established by this Commission in making a flat charge for the entire width of all pavements opened or traversed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Ramsay, and adopted. Dr. Clark moved that the matter reported on by the Chief Engineer under date of June 4, 1912, in connection with the aider oontraot on the Falls Road (#0180), be referred to the (" --• \ Chairman, with power. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted. Mr. C. F. Purdum and others, presented to the Board a petition signed by 60 residents in the vioinity of Cedar Grove and Damascus, in Montgomery County, asking for an extension to Damascus of the road now being constructed from Henderson's Corner to Cedar Grove. Mr, Ramsay moved that the Hootman Bros.1 oontraot #0141, In Allegany County, be cut off at the Have's Cross Roads, and that the bondsmen of Hootman Bros, be required to put the section of the original oontraot east of this point in condition for acceptance, as promptly as possible. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remson, and adopted.
