Page 259. Erection of Waiting House on York Road assented to by Commission. Use of vitrified brick on Liberty Road approved. Acceptance of offer of Hagerstown and Conoco- cheague Turnpike Co. Offer to Boonsborough Turnpike Road Company. Interest allowed on delayejd payments of Berghaus & Moffitt on State Rd.#l, good passable condition, such portion of tha old road as is now torn up ahead of tha macadati, and on which no stone has baan spread. Fourth, that when suitable weathar arrives in tha spring for pitching, tha Contractor ba instructad to go ahaad with tha same, and that ha will than ba allowed, as axtra work, the coat of watar binding tha macadam this fall aftar pitching was ordered stopped and the cost of swapping tha watar bound macadam in tha spring to prapara it for tha pitching. Mr. Shoemaker movad that the f jragoing recommendations of tho T<5nginear be approved. Tha notion was sacondad by 7'r. Futton, and adoptad. Chairman raad a communication from T"r. H. T?. Park-house regarding tha erection of a waiting house on tha York t?oad, and stating that tha Highways Oonmission of "Baltimore County had approved of the erection of same. On motion, duly seconded and adoptad, tha Chairman was authorized to communicate with J-'r. parkhouse to the affect that tha State Roads Commission will not objact to his raquast if ap-provad by tho Highways Con-mission of Baltimore "ounty, provided this waiting houaa is r amoved at any time that tha State Roads Commisoion may raquira it. Hut ton, and adoptad. Mr. Hut ton movad that tho of far of tha Kagarstown and Conocochaagua Turnpike nompany of about 1600 shares. of its stock at and for tha cash sum of Tan Collars par share, with tha reservation and axcaption to tha prasant stockholdars of tha two toll-gate housas and land appurtanant and the cash in tha hands of and balong-ing to tha Company, ba accaptad, provided tha whole of its capital stock, riz: 2250 sharas, mentioned by said Turnpike Co. be sold and dalivarad to tha State Roads commission at tha purchase price of |10.00 par share. On motion of Governor rrothars, seconded by >rr. Futton, it was agroad that tha Boonsborough Turnpike Road company "ha offarad tha sura of One Thousand Dollars par mile for the ^oonsboro pike batwaan "Boonsboro and Hagarstown. Tha motion was duly carried. Mr. Shoemaker movad that intarast charges amounting to $26^.88 on tha delayed payments due Berghaus & Moffitt, on Stata Road #1, Section 9, be allowed. The motion was seconded by Crothars, and adopted.
