Roller for Cecil County, Awarding of contract on Philadelphia Road. Rejection of Bids on West-port Road. Readve rti seme nt of '.Veetport Road. Rejection of Bids in Howard County. Rejection of bids in Carroll County. A Special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held this Tuesday, July 27, 1909, at its offices, Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Md., at 12 o'clock, TToon. Present: Governor Crothers, Chairman Tucker, Messrs. Shoemaker and Hutton. The minutes of the previous meeting were not read. The Chairman reported that the County Commissioners of Worcester County refused to agree to reimburse the State poads Commission for the purchase of the roller authorized under certain conditions at the meeting of July 12th, 1909. it v/as thereupon moved by Mr. Hutton and seconded by Governor Crothers that a Kelley-Springfield Roller be purchased by this Commission for use in the Worcester County Road work. The Chairman, Governor Crothers and :jr. Hutton voted in the affirmative, ^r. Shoemaker voted "No". The above motion of Mr. Hutton was seconded by Governor Crothers,and carried. The question of a roller for Cecil County work came up before the Commission, but the matter went over. !'r. Shoemaker moved that the work on the Philadelphia Road in Baltimore County be awarded to the M. A. Talbott Company, on condition that they reduce the price on pitch compound not to exceed twelve cents. Motion seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. Governor Crothers moved that all bids be rejected for work on the Westport Road in Baltimore County. Motion was seconded and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the \7estport Road in Baltimore County be re-advertised from the city limits out, for the full two miles. Motion seconded by v'r. Hutton and adopted. Governor crothers moved that all bids be rejected for work in Howard County. Motion seconded by j/rr. Hutton and adopted. The work to be re-advertised. Mr. Hutton aoved that all bids be rejected for work in Carroll County and that same be re-advertised. Seconded by
