Page 68. Plans for Additional Proposals in Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Dorchester and Somerset Counties. Plans for Carroll, Kar-ford, Allegany, Garrett, Montgomery, Howard, Washington and Baltimore Counties. Further Surveys in Kent, Dorchester, Baltimore, Carroll, Montgomery, Washington, Allegany and Garrett Counties. Offer to Baltimore and Predericktown Turnpike Company, Value of Baltimore and Fredericktown Turnpike Stock, c« for Proposals. The above motion of Governor Crothers' was seconded by Dr. Clark, and adopted. The Chairman recommended that plans "be prepared for additional proposals for about 2 miles more in Kent County to the "Big Woods Road to Lynch; in Queen Anne's County 3 miles more of the Centreville Road to Starkey1s Corner towards Church Hill; in Talbot County about 3 miles more to Long Woods; in Dorchester County about 3 miles to Shi-loh Church; in Somerset County 2.9 milea to Westover. The Chairman also recommended that plans be prepared for 6 miles of road in Carroll County from the Hov/ard County line north; in Har-ford County from Churchville towards Aberdeen about 3 miles, and from Hickory Church towards Forest Kill about 2 miles; ir. Allegany County about 6 miles east of Cumberland and about 2 miles west of Cumberland; in Garrett County about 7 miles north from Oakland; in Kent fernery County about 7 miles from Rockville to Quince Orchard; in Hov/ard County about 3.2 miles from West 7riendship to Sykesville; in Washington County about 7.2 miles from the end of the macadam road v/est towards Indian Spring; in Baltimore County about 14 miles, as follows: about 5.3 miles of the Harford Road, 2.1 miles of the Bel Air P.oad, 2.1 miles of the Philadelphia Road, 1.9 miles of the Y'est.ort Poad, and 2.6 miles of the ?alls Road. The Chairman further recommended that additional surveys be made in Kent County about 3 miles to Locust Grove; in "Horchester County about 5 miles from !F!ai;t Newmarkey to ; t. Holly; in 'Baltimore County about 14 miles; in Carrcll County about 4 miles to Fenby; in L'ontgonery County about 7 miles from Quince Orchard to the Buck Lodge Road; in Y/ashing-ton County about 6 miles beyond Indian Spring; in Allegany County about 7 miles; and in r/arrett County about 5 miles from Thayerville north. Dr. Clark moved that the Chairman of this Commission make an offer to the Baltimore £ Fredericktown Turnpike Company, in accordance with the resolution on the minutes, for all those parts of said Pike betv/een here and the Allegany County line as lie in Baltimore, Howard, Carroll, Frederick and Washington Counties, with the exception of that part lying in Baltimore City. The motion v/as seconded by Governor Crothere, and adopted. Dr. Clark moved that the Committee, consisting of the Chairman, Mr Shoemaker and the Counsel, be requested to find out the market value of the Baltimore & Fredericktown Turnpike stock, and to report to the Commission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted. Governor Crothers moved that the matter of the notice for proposals be referred to the Counsel of this Commission, and that the advertisement be inserted in the papers at the earliest possible date. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton, and adopted.
