No. 50 - 157th U. S. Brigade Brigade Color This was the regulation Brigade color of the 157th U. S. Brigade, 79th Division, consisting of the 313th and 314th United States Infantry Regiment. This flag and 51-A were pre-Battalion. No. 51-A - 72d U. S. Infantry Regiment National Flag This was the regulation forty-eight star national flag of the 72d United States Infantry Regiment. No. 51-B - 72d U. S. Infantry Regiment Regimental Color This was the standard blue regimental color of the 72d United States Infantry Regiment. This flag and 51-A were presented to the State by the War Department because the State had the largest percentage of drafted men in the unit. No. 52-A - 811th U. S. Pioneer Infantry Regiment National Flag This is the forty-eight star national flag of the 811th United States Pioneer Infantry. No. 52-B - 811th U. S. Pioneer Infantry Regiment Regimental Color This is the regulation blue regimental color of the 811th United States Pioneer Infantry, a unit which served during World War I at various docks and depots in France. Both •this color and the one labeled 52-A were presented by the War Department to the State of Maryland. No. 53-A - 808th U. S. Pioneer Infantry Regiment National Flag This was the forty-eight star national flag of the United States 808th Pioneer Infantry. No. 53-B 808th U. S. Pioneer Infantry Regiment Regimental Color This is the standard blue regimental color of the United States 808th Pioneer Infantry, a World War I unit which operated the engineer dumps of the First Army and also did salvage and road work. Both colors 53-A and 58-B were presented to the State by the War Department. No. 54 - 33rd U. S.
