(104) June Court Anno Domini 1747 Charles County sst Whereas it has been made appear to me that George Robinson is Justly Indebted unto Thomas Thompson of said County Merch.t In the sum of Nineteen Hundred and Twenty five Pounds of Tobacco and that the said George Robinson has Removed from the Place of his late abode and has Departed the Province of Maryland These are therefore in his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Name & Command you to Issue Attachm.t against the Effects of the said George Robinson as well to satisfie the said sum of Nineteen Hundred and Twenty five Pounds Tobacco as Also the Incident Costs that shall accrue thereon Hereof you are not to fail at your Peril and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant Given under my hand the 28.th Day of March 1746 Robt Hanson The Clk of Charles County Whereupon It was Commanded the sheriff that of the Goods Chattles & Credits of the afs.d George Robinson in his Bailywick being he should attach as well the Sum of Nineteen Hundred and Twenty five Pounds of Tobacco Damages & fifteen Hundred Pounds of Tobacco for Costs that had Accrued and that further should accrue in Prosecution of the Premises and upon the same he had attached or any Part thereof that he should have it before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be held at Charles Town on the second Tuesday in June Next then & there to be Condemned according to Law to and for the uses of the said Thomas Thompson unless the said George should Come then & there or his Lawfull Attorney and answer unto the said Thomas of a plea of Trespass upon the Cause and that by Good and Lawfull mony his Bailywick he should make known to the Person or Persons in whose hands he should make the same Attachment that he she or they be & appear before the Justices of the said Lord Proprietary at the Place and time afs.d to shew Cause if any he she or they have why the sum in their or any of their hands attached should not be Condemned According to Law and the said Thomas have thereof Execution if &C.a and how he should Execute that Writt that he should make Known to the Justices afs.d at the Place and time afs.d and that he should have then & there that Writt &Ca And Now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d Comes the said Thomas by Jeremiah Chase his attorney & offers the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Vizt Charles County ss.t To the Worshipfull the Justices within mentioned I hereby Certifie that by Virtue of the within Writt to me Directed that on the 30.th March 1747 I attached Sundry Effects of the within mentioned George Robinson in the hands of the within mentioned Tho.s Thompson as appears by schedule of Appraisment hereunto Annexed Amounting to One Thousand five Hundred & twenty Pounds of Tobacco for the use of the above mentioned Thomas Thompson and have made known to him that he be & appear at the time and Place within mentioned to shew Cause why the s.d Effects should not be Condemned for his use the same before Philip Briscoe Robert Gill & others Good & Lawfull men of my Bailywick as I am hereby Commanded To Answer Sam: Hanson She |
