6-203.

The Insurance Fraud Division shall:

(4) cooperate with the DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland] State Police, the
Maryland Insurance Administration, the local State's Attorney in the jurisdiction in which
the alleged acts of insurance fraud took place and appropriate local and federal law
enforcement authorities;

(6) in cooperation with the Maryland Insurance Administration and the
DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland] State Police, conduct public outreach and awareness
programs on the costs of insurance fraud to the public.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Items (4) and (6) of this section are amended to reflect the establishment of
the Department of State Police as a principal department of State government
by Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994 and to delete surplus language.

6-204.

(c) In conducting an investigation under this subtitle, the Insurance Fraud
Division shall cooperate and consult as necessary with the Insurance Administration, the
State's Attorneys, the DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland] State Police, the Office of the State
Fire Marshal, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and other appropriate law
enforcement officials.

Subsection (c) of this section is amended to reflect the establishment of the
Department of State Police as a principal department of State government by
Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994 and to delete surplus language.

6-207.

(c) (1) Of the 10 members:

(i) one shall be a representative of the DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland]
State Police;
