COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

Laws of Montgomery County, 1986
AN ACT TO:

(1)   establish a framework for public employer-employee

labor relations;

(2)  provide the method for designating an employee

organization as the exclusive representative of public
employees in the appropriate unit;

(3)  provide procedures for collective bargaining of wages,

hours, and other terms and conditions of employment;

(4)   provide for the appointment of a labor relations

administrator;

(5)   define the rights of employees, employee organizations,

and the public employer;

(6)  prohibit certain conduct;

(7)   provide procedures for resolving differences between

the public employer and employees;

(8)   generally assure uninterrupted operation of government

services; and

(9)   generally provide for the establishment of County

employee collective bargaining.
