EXECUTIVE ORDER OF JUNE 26, 1984

MARYLAND CRIMINAL JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL

WHEREAS, The Governor's Commission on Law Enforcement and the
Administration of Justice was created by Executive Order in
June, 1967; and

WHEREAS, The composition and functions of the Commission were
revised by Executive Orders of April 14, 1969, June 5, 1969,
January 15, 1971, April 14, 1975, November 13, 1978,
December 21, 1978 and February 4, 1982;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND, DO HEREBY PROMULGATE THE
FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE ORDER RESCINDING EXECUTIVE ORDER
01.01.1982.02, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:

1. (a) The Maryland Criminal Justice Coordinating Council
is created as a unit within the Executive
Department.

(b) The following persons are ex officio members of the
Council with the power to vote.

(1) The Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals of
Maryland or designee;

(2) The Chief Judge of the District Court of
Maryland or designee;

(3)  The Attorney General of Maryland or designee;

(4)  The Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene or
designee;

(5)  The Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional
Services;

(6)  The Public Defender;

(7)  The Director of the Juvenile Services
Administration;

(8)  The State Superintendent of Schools;
