(Senate Bill 429)
AN ACT concerning
Commission on Medical Discipline - Executive Director
FOR the purpose of permitting the Commission on Medical
Discipline of Maryland to employ an Executive Director in
addition to the staff designate one of its staff as an
Executive Director.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Health Occupations
Section 14-403

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Health Occupations
14-403.
(a) A majority of the full authorized membership of the
Commission is a quorum to do all business.
(b) The Commission shall determine the times and places of
its meetings.
(c) Each member of the Commission is entitled to:
(1) Compensation, in accordance with the State'
budget, for each day the member is engaged in performing the
duties of the Commission; and
(2) Reimbursement for expenses under the Standard
State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.
(d) The Commission may maintain an office in this State.
(e) The Commission may employ [a staff] AN EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR AN OTHER STAFF in accordance with the State budget.
THE COMMISSION MAY DESIGNATE ONE OF ITS STAFF AS AN EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
