(Senate Bill 430)
AN ACT concerning
State Board of Medical Examiners - Executive Director
FOR the purpose of permitting the State Board of Medical
Examiners to employ an Executive Director in addition to
other staff designate one of its staff as an Executive
Director.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Health Occupations
Section 14-204

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

14-204.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(a) A majority of the members then serving on the Board is
a quorum.
(b) The Board shall meet:
(1) At the times and places that it determines; and
(2) As requested by the Secretary.
(c) Each member of the Board is entitled to:
(1) Compensation in accordance with the State budget;
and
(2) Reimbursement for expenses under the Standard
State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.
(d) The Board may employ [a staff] AN EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR AND OTHER STAFF in accordance with the State budget. THE
BOARD MAY DESIGNATE ONE OF ITS STAFF AS AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
