(369 Ex.d & Dld This Indenture made this tenth day of May Seventeen hundred and Eighty five Between Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall Commissioners for the Sale of Confiscated British Property of the one part and William Paca of the City of Annapolis of the other part Whereas the said William Paca purchased of the said Commissioners two Lots of Land formerly the Property of the Principio Company lying in Baltimore County one of which is marked and described N.o 22 containing one hundred and forty two acres and one half the other marked and described N.o 23 containing one hundred and twenty three acres which said Lots adjoin each other and are bounded and butted as follows viz N.o 22 prat of the Principio Company's Land lying in Baltimore County being part of Grindon Beginning at a Small bounded red oak and a Small bounded Gum standing on a level and running thence South West one hundred and one Perches to a bounded red oak standing at the end of thirty three Perches in the fourth line of a Tract of Land called Sophia's Garden thence bounding on said Land the two following Courses viz.t South thirty five Degrees East one hundred and thirteen Perches South two hundred and five perches to the thirty first line of Grindon thence bounding thereon Reversely the two following Courses viz.t North twelve Degrees East one hundred and sixty perches North Eighty four Degrees East fifty six Perches to a tract of Land called Parlets Addition thence bounding on said Land the two following Courses viz.t North two Degrees West thirty four perches North twenty five Degrees East fifty perches and thence by a straight line to the beginning containing and laid out for one hundred and forty two and a half acres and N.o 23 bounded and butted as follows viz.t part of the Principio Company's Lands lying in Baltimore County being part of Grindon Beginning at a small bounded red oak and a small bounded Gum standing on a level the beginning of Lot N.o 22 and running thence North East seventy five Perches to a small bounded Gum standing on ^in^ the given line of a Tract of Land called Smith's Chance thence bounding on said line South East two hundred and twenty four Perches to a bounded Posimmon standing by a Gulley in the twenty eighth line of Grindon thence bounding on Grindon the two following Courses viz.t South three Perches South twenty four Degrees West Seventy two perches to the given line of a Tract of Land called Parlets Addition thence bounding on said line reversely North fifty six Degrees West seventy eight perches to the end of the last line of said Land West ten perches to Lot N.o 22 thence bounding on said Lott to the place of beginning containing and laid out for one hundred and twenty three acres Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall for and in Consideration of the Sum of one thousand eight hundred and five pounds eight Shillings Current Money which has been paid and satisfied agreeably to the mode prescribed by Law Have granted bargained and Sold and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Paca and his Heirs All Those two Lots of Ground aforesaid and the remainder or reversion Rents Issues |
