368) Time to time and at all times hereafter upon the reasonable request and at the proper Costs and charges of the said Thomas Usher his Heirs and Assigns make do and execute or cause to be made done and executed all such further and other lawful and reasonable Acts Deeds Conveyances and Assurances in the Law whatsoever for the further and better conveying and assuring of the same Premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Usher his Heirs and Assigns as by the said Thomas Usher his Heirs or Assigns or his or their Council in the Law shall be reasonably advised or required In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereto set their Hands and Seals the Day and year first within written Signed sealed and delivered in Presence of Thomas Dorsey (Seal) James Kelso B Wolfenden Received on the Day and Year first within written of and from the within named Thomas Usher the Sum of Two thousand five hundred Pounds Current Money of Maryland being in full of the Consideration Money within expressed to be by him to me paid Witness Thomas Dorsey James Kelso On the back of the foregoing was thus Written to wit Ann Arundel County to wit On the twelfth day of February 1785 came before us the Subscribers two of the Justices assigned to keep the Power in and for the said County the within Named Thomas Dorsey who acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing as his Act and Deed for the intent and purpose thereof At the same time came Elizabeth the Wife of the said Thomas Dorsey and being by us privately examined a part from and out of the hearing of her said Husband relinquished all her right of Dower to the within Tracts parts of Tracts or Parcels of Ground or Premises and declared that she did the same freely and voluntarily without being induced thereto by fear of or threats of Ill usage from her said Husband or thro fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged before James Kelso Elisha Warfield Ann Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify that James Kelso and Elisha Warfield Gentlemen before whom the above Acknowledgment was made were at the time of making the same and still are two Justices of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid and as such due faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well in Courts of Justice as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed the Seal of Office this fifteenth day of April Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five 17½ sides Nich Harwood Clk Recorded the 29.th day of April 1785 |
