271 Deed of Mortgage bears date the fifth day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty four Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Nicholas Maccubbin for and in Consideration of the sum of nineteen hundred and four Pounds two Shillings and Nine Pence Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Charles Ridgely the Receipt whereof the said Nicholas Maccubbin doth hereby Acknowledge Hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over and by these Presents doth grant bargain sell Assign transfer & set over unto the said Charles Ridgely his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns all the right title Interest and Demand either in Law or Equity of him the said Nicholas Maccubbin to the aforesaid Mortgaged Premises herein before described in Consequence of the said Deed of Mortgage bearing date as aforesaid to have and to Hold the said Mortgaged Premises unto him the said Charles Ridgely his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns free and Clear from any Demand whatsoever of him the said Nicholas Maccubbin In Witness whereof the party to these presents hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his seal the Day and Year and above written Signed Sealed & delivered in Presence of The Words & four Pounds in the Nich.s Maccubbin (Seal) second page and fourth line being first Interlined Tho.s B Hodgkin Ja Carroll Received the day and year above Written the sum of Nineteen hundred and four Pounds two shillings and nine pence of the within named Charles Ridgely it being the Consideration Money therein Mentioned Nich.s Maccubbin Witness Tho.s B Hodgkin Ja Carrall Maryland On the sixth day of December seventeen hundred and Eighty four came before me one of the Judges of the General Court of the State of Maryland the within named Nicholas Maccubin & Acknowledged the Within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed according 9 sides to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and Provided A C Hanson Recorded the 6.th Day of Dec.r 1784 Ex.d dl.d & p.d This Indenture made this Eighth day of December in the year one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four Between James Williams of the City of Annapolis and State of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and Edward Lloyd of the County of Talbot and State aforesaid ^Esq.r^ of the other part Witnesseth that the same James Williams for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand two hundred pounds Current money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Edward Lloyd before the signing and ensealing of these presents the receipt whereof the same James Williams doth hereby Acknowledge and of the same and every Part and Parcel thereof doth for ever exonerate acquit and Discharge him the same Edward Lloyd his Heirs Executors and Administrators hath hereby granted Bargained sold Released enfeoffed ^aliened^ and (confirmed) |
