167 (158 To all Christian People To whome this p.rsent Writeing shall Come I Richard Pery of London Marchant send greeting Know yee that I the said Richard Pery for divers good Consideracons mee hereunto moveing Have made Deputed Authorized constituted and appealed And by these p.rsents doe make depute authorize Constitute and appointe Symon Willmer of London Marchant my true and lawfull Attorney and Agent for mee and in my name and for my use to manage Governe and Carry on a Manno.r or Plantacon Comonly Called the Resurrecon Manno.r in Petuxent in Maryland and the Affaires and businesse thereof and for mee and in my name & stead and for my use to sell part w.th barter or dispose of any the Cattle goods Tobacco or other stock whatsoever belonging to the said Plantacon and all sume and sumes of money good Tobacco Cattle and other stock whatsoever due or to bee due belonging or owing unto mee on Account of the said Plantacon or any matter or thing Relateing thereunto from any person or psons whatsoever To Aske demand sue for Recover and Receive from the pson or psons from whence the the same shall bee soe due or oweing unto mee and upon Receipt or satisfaccon or payment thereof unto him the said Simon Willmer for mee and in my name and for my use good and sufficient Acquittances Releases and discharges to the party or parties from whence the same shall bee soe due to make Execute seale and deliver and generally to doe all and every other Lawfull Act matter and thing for the benifitt and Advantage of the said Plantacon and for the Carryeing on and manageing of the same and the Affaires and businesse thereof to my best benifitt and behoofe as I the said Richard Pery might doe or Cause to bee done if personally p.rsent Ratifieing and by these p.rsents Confirmeing Avowing and Allowing whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully doe or Cause to bee done in the p.rmisses as if I were psonally p.rsent In Witnesse whereof I the said Richard Pery have hereunto sett my hand and seale the Eighteenth day of September Anno R Rs Caroli Secdi Dei Gra Angl &c Tricesimo primo Annoq Dom 1679 Sealed and delivered in the p.rsence of Rich Pery (sealed) Thomas Smithson Tim.o Keyser G Stanlake Underneath the aforegoeing Letter of Attorney was thus written viz Aprill 23.th 1680 Then Came Thomas Smithson one of the witnesse of the Above mentioned Letter of Attorney and made oath that hee saw the w.thin named Richard Richard Pery signe Seale and Deliver the same Letter of Attorney unto Symon Wilmer March then bound from London in the Kingdome of England into Maryland in Amarica Jurat Coram me Vincent Lowe Maryland fs This Indenture made the fourteenth day of November in the fourth yeare of the Dominion of the Right Hono.ble Charles Absolute Lord & Prop.ry of this Province of Maryland &c Annoq Domini 1679 Betweene William Guither of St Maryes County in the province of Maryland of the one part and John Baker of the County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that whereas William Hawley late of this Province Esq.r deceased was in his life time seized of an Estate in fee simple by vertue of Letters Pattent under the greate seale of the province aforesaid of a Certaine tract of Land Lyeing on the west side (of |
