County, State of Maryland. The study shall be carried out in con-
sultation and cooperation with all affected agencies of Harford
County. Upon the completion of the study, either the Maryland En-
vironmental Service or the Harford County Metropolitan Commis-
sion shall take all appropriate actions to acquire the water supply
and wastewater systems of the Joppatowne Utilities Corporation,
whether by gift, purchase or condemnation. The acquisition may in-
clude its real and personal property, rights, privileges, waters,
streams, easements, franchises, facilities, and property rights of any
kind whatsoever; and if the water system shall be acquired by con-
demnation, then proceedings shall be field
FILED under the provi-
sions of Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

(b)  If the Maryland Environmental Service acquires the water
supply and wastewater facilities of the Joppatowne Utilities Cor-
poration, it shall have the express authority to operate water supply
and wastewater systems in the same manner and with the same au-
thority in the rendering of such services as the Harford County
Metropolitan Commission. This power is not intended to be restric-
tive of the present powers now vested in the Maryland Environmental
Service.

(c)  The Maryland Environmental Service and the Harford County
Metropolitan Commission are authorized and empowered to make
such agreements as may be necessary to implement the objective of
providing adequate water supply and wastewater treatment systems
in Harford County, Maryland. Such agreement or agreements may
include state and federal grants and cooperative arrangements for
the cooperative use of the water supply, drainage, and sanitary fa-
cilities of both the Maryland Environmental Service and the Harford
County Metropolitan Commission and such agreements shall be ap-
proved by the County Commissioners of Harford County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 675
(Senate Bill 477)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 217 (c)
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Licenses" subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to
provide that certain persons may obtain a real estate broker's
license under certain circumstances without the necessity of fur-
ther qualification FOR A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME and
generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 217(c) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses" subtitle "Real
Estate Brokers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
