(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle
"Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Musical Instruments," be
and it is hereby repealed, and re-enacted, with amendments, and to
read as follows: AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMENDMENTS,
AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

[415.

No [female] person who may accompany or who may be in charge
of, or who may have the custody of any musical instrument or device,
shall solicit or accept any money or thing of value from any person
upon any highway, street, or in any ordinary, saloon, tavern, restau-
rant, lunchroom, or any other public place in this State, unless such
person shall solicit aid for purely charitable purposes.

Any person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be imprisoned not more
than sixty days in the Maryland House of Correction, or fined not
more than $100, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of
the court.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 674
(Senate Bill 446)

AN ACT to add new Section 33 to Article 33B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume) title, "Environ-
mental Service, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEC-
TION 32 THEREOF, to authorize a study regarding certain
water and wastewater facilities of the Joppatowne Utilities Cor-
poration, to provide for the acquisition of those facilities by the
Maryland Environmental Service or by the Harford County
Metropolitan Commission, and to authorize such agreements be-
tween those agencies as may be necessary to implement the pro-
vision of adequate water supply and wastewater services.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 33 be and it is hereby added to Article 33B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title,
"Environmental Service" to follow immediately after Section 32
thereof and to read as follows:

33.

(a) On or before October 1, 1972, the Maryland Environmen-
tal Service shall undertake and complete a study of the physical and
operational efficiency and adequacy of the quality of the service pro-
vided by the water supply and wastewater facilities and appurte-
nances owned and operated by the Joppatowne Utilities Corporation,
situated at the headwaters of the Gunpowder River in Harford
