on presentation of said certificates. The several judges of the re-
spective circuit courts are authorized to provide for the employment
of an additional court stenographer or court stenographers, when in
their joint discretion the volume of work requires, at the same com-
pensation as provided above.

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 443
(House Bill 291)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 81(f)
(5), (6) and (9) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Admin-
istration—Registration—Titling," to change the fees charged by
the Department of Motor Vehicles for registration of specified farm
trucks and to change payments from such fees to the political
subdivisions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 81(f) (5), (6) and (9) of Article 66½ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle
"Administration—Registration—Titling," be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:

81 (f).

(5) If such vehicle is a single unit truck owned by a farmer and
qualified as a farm truck, as those terms are defined hereinbelow, it
shall pay a registration fee based upon gross shipping weight of the
chassis and battery as certified by the manufacturer, with gross
weight limitations for the vehicle and load, as follows:
