at or near the present intersection of said creek and Marlyn
Avenue.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered in
their discretion to dismantle and remove the existing bridge
or passageway over Deep Creek, and in the place thereof to
construct, maintain and operate a new free highway bridge
over said creek, a branch of Back River in Baltimore County,
State of Maryland, at or about the point where Marlyn Avenue
as now laid out and used is intersected by said Deep Creek,
or at such other place in that immediate vicinity as the said
County Commissioners of Baltimore County may, in their
discretion, deem expedient.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bridge
shall be constructed and maintained in such a manner as to
not interfere with navigation in said creek and that one span
of said bridge shall be a sufficient height and length to permit
creek traffic, the draft whereof permits the use of its waters.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That said bridge, ap-
proaches and/or roads leading to it shall be constructed and
the present bridge dismantled under the provisions of the
Public Local Laws of Baltimore County relating to roads and
streets.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act are subject to all valid and applicable provisions of
laws of the United States concerning bridges over navigable
waters of the United States.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and thirty-
one.

AN ACT to increase the area of the Maryland Washington
Metropolitan District within Prince George's County, to ex-
tend the jurisdiction of the Maryland National Capital Park
