PUBLIC DEBT.

For the payment of the interest on the public
debt of this State, that is to say: the interest fall-
ing due quarterly on the currency debt of the
State, four hundred and twenty thousand dollars;
and the interest on the public debt falling due
semi-annually, and payable in London, including
the cost of exchange, remittance and commissions,
three hundred and forty thousand dollars; for the
payment of the interest on the Bounty Loan of
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, one hundred and
eighty thousand dollars; for the interest on the
bonds of the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Railroad
Company, issued under chapter three hundred and
forty-one of eighteen hundred and forty-six, two
thousand seven hundred and twelve dollars and
ninety-two cents.

MISCELLANEOUS.

To the Night Watchmen of Public Buildings,
four hundred and twenty dollars each, eight hun-
dred and forty dollars; to the persons employed
to take care of the Public Buildings and Grounds,
three hundred and sixty dollars; to the Keeper of
the Steam House and of the Record Office Fur-
nace, four hundred and twenty dollars, and to his
assistant, three hundred and sixty dollars; to the
person employed to attend to the court room of the
Court of Appeals, for the years eighteen hundred
and sixty-three, eighteen hundred and sixty-four
and eighteen hundred and sixty-five, three hun-
dred dollars; to the Messenger to the Governor,
five hundred dollars; for filing and recording the
laws and resolutions of this session, three hundred
and fifty dollars; for carpets and furniture for the
offices of the Comptroller, two hundred and fifty
dollars; for stationery for departments, five hun-
dred dollars; for stationery purchased for the pre-
sent session of the Legislature, by the Librarian,
twelve hundred dollars; to pay for copies of Code,
Supplement and Constitution published under the
orders of the Legislature, seven hundred and
thirty-two dollars; for repair to the Court of Ap-
peals room, and furniture of the Court room and
offices, to be expended under the direction of the
