LAWS OF MARYLAND.

LEGISLATURE.

Sums appro-
priated.

To the Secretary of the Senate, three hundred
dollars; to the Chief Clerk of the House of Dele-
gates, three hundred dollars; to pay members of
the Senate and House of Delegates, their officers
and attendants, the yearly salaries of the Secre-
tary of the Senate and Clerk of the House of Del-
egates accepted, and also for the contingent ex-
penses of the regular session of January, eighteen
hundred and sixty-four, of the General Assembly,
including the cost of printing, seventy-five thou-
sand dollars; for the postage of the members of
the General Assembly, including the Secretary of
the Senate and Clerk of the House, fifteen hundred
dollars; for binding the laws, journala and docu-
ments of the present session, one thousand eight
hundred dollars; for distributing bound copies of
the laws, journals and public documents of the
present session to the Clerks and Registers of Wills
of this State, and to the Governors of the several
States, one hundred and fifty dollars; to the ex-
pense of indexing the laws, journals and public
documents, five hundred dollars; for the expense
of the Constitutional Convention, including the
per diem of members, officers and attendants, and
their mileage, also the expense of printing and
postage, and for contingent expenses, including
stationery, one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

BALTIMORE CITY.

To the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
as per article four, section one hundred and twen-
ty-seven, Public Local Laws, twenty thousand
dollars; to the Maryland Institute, for the promo-
tion of the Mechanic Arts, five-hundred dollars;
to the members of the Appeal Tax Court of Bal-
timore city, fifty dollars each, one hundred and
fifty dollars; to the Register of Baltimore city,
three hundred dollars; to the Maryland Peniten-
tiary, for so much on account of the salaries of its
officers, eight thousand dollars; for the support of
the Maryland Penitentiary, ten thousand dollars;
and building purposes, eight thousand dollars;
to the House of Refuge, fifteen thousand dollars;
for the Union Rosine Association of Baltimore,
five thousand dollars.
