LAWS OF MARYLAND.

pulsion of cars authorized to be used by any passenger railway
company in said city, and with two or more tracks and all
proper sidings, power houses, machinery, fixtures and appur-
tenances as may be required or suitable for so operating the
same railway or railways; and the said South Baltimore Com-
pany, if it shall construct any passenger railway on or through
its lands or on said causeway, shall have the right to connect,
or, if it so elect, to consolidate its said railway with the rail-
way or railways of any other passenger railway company
operating its lines in Baltimore city or Baltimore county, upon
such terms as may be agreed upon between it and any such
company or companies; provided, however, that the said South
Baltimore Company shall not so contract as aforesaid with any
passenger railroad company or companies to construct and
operate any line of railway on said causeway or through
its, the said South Baltimore Company's, lands, unless
with a passenger railway company or companies having
by ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, the right to operate its or their lines on such of the
streets of said city as the said causeway is hereinbefore
authorized to be connected with; and provided further,
that the County Commissioners of Baltimore county may be
applied to by the said South Baltimore Company to designate
a route or routes in Baltimore county for any of the passenger
railway or railways hereinbefore authorized to be constructed
and operated by the South Baltimore Company, and the said
County Commissioners shall thereupon designate such route or
routes, and the South Baltimore Company shall thereupon be
entitled to use the same for its own railway or railways under
such instructions or conditions as the said County Commis-
sioners shall designate.

CHAPTER 204.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Dor-
chester County to appoint an additional constable for elec-
tion district number two of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Dorchester
county be and they hereby authorized and empowered to
