CHAPTER 203.

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting the first Section of the
Act supplementary to the Act to incorporate the South
Baltimore Company, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-two, Chapter ninety-six, and the Act
amendatory of the Act to incorporate the South Baltimore
Company, passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
fifty-four, Chapter one hundred and twenty-two, passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, Chapter
two hundred and thirty.

Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the first section of the act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-six,
chapter two hundred and thirty, and entitled "an act supple-
mentary to the act to incorporate the South Baltimore Com-
pany, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-two, chapter ninety-six, and the act amendatory of the
act to incorporate the South Baltimore Company, passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter one
hundred and twenty-two, be repealed and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the South Baltimore Company be and it is
hereby authorized to construct a causeway from its property on
the west side of the Middle Branch of the Patapsco river,
across the mouth of Gwynns Falls, by piling and filling
up on each side of the outlet channel of said Falls,
leaving sufficient space to vent the water, and bridging
the same so as to connect with Ridgely, Warner or some
other street of the city of Baltimore; and said South
Baltimore Company may construct and operate on or
through any of its lands and on said causeway, or may
contract on any terms that may be agreed on between them
with any passenger railway company or companies working its
or their lines in the city of Baltimore, to construct and operate
through or upon said South Baltimore Company's lands and
on said causeway or through or on either said lands or said
causeway, and in connection with its or their, the said passen-
ger railway company or companies, line or lines in said city
on any street with which said causeway is above authorized to
connect, a passenger railway operated by any method of pro-
