Said hill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact
Sections 459, 464, 467, 469, 470 and 475, of Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
title "Live Stock,"

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Knight,

Was referred te the Committee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to create a loan to discharge an
indebtedness of the President ind Visitors of the Maryland
Hospital, now secured by mortgage of said Hospital and
premises, and to provide additional out-buildings and furni-
ture for the same,

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Was ordered to lie ovtr, and be made the order of the day
for Wednesday, March 15th, at 1 o'clock.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and direst the
Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince
George's counties to build a bridge over the northwest branch
at the point where it is crossed by the Sandy Spring Road,
Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Suit,

The consideration of said bill was indefinitely postponed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the catching, and to
provide for the preservation offish in the waters of the State,
and of the Potomac River,

Being upon its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Knight,

Was, ordered to lie over, and be made the order of the day
for Thursday, March 16th, at 1 o'clock.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The rules were suspended, so as to take up

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Potomac Bridge
Company to borrow money and issue bonds therefor.

Which was read the third time, and rejected for want of a
Constitutional majority, by yeas and nays as follows:
