The following Senate bills were read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 171 and 172
of Art. 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
the investment by guardians of the proceeds of sales of real
estate belonging to their wards, sold by a trustee in equity,
and to re-enact the same.

Senate entitled an Act to amend Art. 72, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Partnerships Limited," by ad-
ding thereto a Section regulating the responsibility of per-
sons not being partners, who shall receive or contract to re-
ceive a portion of the profits of any partnership, general or
limited, as a compensation in whole or in part for money
loaned, or services rendered thereto or therefor.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Art. 75, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess," by adding to the same two Sections, rendering equi-
table defences available in actions at law.

Senate hill entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace to cases of petty larceny,
Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Lee submitted the following amendment:

Insert "Caroline and Carroll" after "Somerset."
Which was adopted,
Mr, Bannon submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add "Kent" after "Carroll," ,

Which was adopted.
Mr. Lloyd submitted the following amendment:
