With the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Insert "Allegany and Carroll" after the word "Garrett,"
and make the word "County" read "Counties," wherever
it occurs in the bill,

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The following Senate bills were read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading :

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Section to the
Code of Public General Laws, Article 16, title "Chancery,"
sub-title "Non compos mentis," to follow Section 87; provid-
ing for the cases of wards who may be non compos mentis
when they reach majority, and are unable to settle with their
guardians.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add two new Sections to
Article 40, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fines
and Forfeitures."

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact
Section 14, of Article 18, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Clerks of Courts."

Senate bill entitlad an Act to lay out and establish a new
Election District in Frederick county, out of a portion of
Frederick District, No. 2, and Creagerstown District, No. 4,
to be call Lewistown District or Election District, No. 19.

Senate till entitled an Act to repeal Section 42, of Article
37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence,"
sub-title "Proof of Foreign Debts and other Instruments,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 205, 206 and
212, of Article 4, of the Public Local Laws of the State of
Maryland, relating to the City of Baltimore, sub-title "Elec-
tions," and to re-enact Sections 205, 206 and 212, with
amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Section
78, and sub-Section 2, of Article 2, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel county," sub-title "County
Commissioners," as amended and re-enacted by chapter 485,
of the Acts of 1874.

Senate bill entitle an Act to incorporate the purchasers of
the Queen Anne's and Kent County Railroad Company.

Was read the second time and ordered to engrossed for a
third reading.
