On motion by Mr. Ford,

The vote by which said bill was ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
Was reconsidered.

Mr. Ford submitted the following amendment:
Stride out "Sections."
Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1853,
chapter 88, entitled an Act to incorporate the Pittsburg and
Connellsville Railroad Company in the State of Maryland,

Was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for
a third reading, and

On motion by Mr. Gorman,
Ordered to be printed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 4, 15 and 16,
of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of
Baltimore," and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Joyce submitted the following amendment:
Section 4, line 9, strike out ''five hundred" and insert
"five thousand."

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Section 2, of chapter 417, of the Acts of 1858,
authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to es-
tablish an inspection and measurement of gas and gas-metres
in said city.

Being upon its second reading,

Mr, Stevens submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Page 2, line 5, after the word "person," insert "or cor-
poration."
