420 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 11,

On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Senators Dennis, Steiner and Frank-
lin to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact Section 3, of Chapter 367, of the Acts of 1874, en-
titled an Act to enable the Commissioners of Somerset
County, to provide a fund for the redemption of outstanding
county bonds.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act for the relief of Oliver P.
Sparks, late Sheriff of Talbot County.

Mr. Steiner, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to
Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Frede-
rick County," sub-title "Emmittsburg," authorizing and";
empowering the Burgess and Commissioners of Emmitts-
burg, to widen the public street leading from the public
square, in said town, to the depot of Emmittsburg R. R.
Company, to be known as sub-Sections A and B to the char-
ter of said town.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lee, from a Select Committee, reparted favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
Common Council of Westminster to construct water works
for, and to lay water mains within, the corporate limits
thereof; to buy the necessary appurtenances for the protec-
tion of property, to collect water rents and to issue bonds,
and to repeal all other Acts inconsistent with the same.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lancaster, from a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

House bill entitled an Act in relation to the road running
from Glymont, on Potomac River, through Cornwallis Neck,
in Charles County, to the point of its termination.

Mr. Sulivane, from a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 154 to Section

184. inclusive, of Article 10, of the Public Local Laws, for
Dorchester County, entitled "Roads;" also, to repeal Section

185. enacted in the year 1868, entitled an Act to add an
