On motion by Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act proposing an
amendment to the Constitution of the State, by striking out
the word "white," in the Seventh Article of the Bill of
Eights.

On motion by Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act proposing an
amendment to the first Section of the first Article, of the

Constitution of the State, by striking out the word "white."

On motion by Mr. Combs, of St Mary's,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to be entitled an Act to refund to George W. L.
Buckler, of St. Mary's County, a sum of money erroneously
paid to the State.

On motion by Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal and

re-enact with amendments the 8th Section, of the 38th Ar-
ticle, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fees of

Officers."

On motion by Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted to Senators Ford, Miller and Hepbron

to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the Reg-
ister of Wills for Queen Anne's County to do and perform

certain work left unfinished by a former Register of Wills of
said county.

On motion by Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted to Senators Ford, Miller and Hepbron

to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County to levy a sum
sufficient to pay Robert Goldsborough for certain work per-
formed in the office of the Register of Wills for said county.

On motion by Mr. Franklin,

Leave was granted to Senators Franklin, Dennis and
Humphreys to introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to repeal

Chapter 192, of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act of the
General Assembly, passed December Session, 1846, Chapter

8, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Buck-
ingham and Female Seminary, of Berlin, and to re-enact the

same with amendments.
