eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter four hun-
dred; provided, such indentures, leases or instru-
ments of writing, be duly executed as the act of said
company, and acknowledged and recorded according
to law.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the lessee or as-
signee of said company shall, in virtue of such con-	Lawfully siezed and possessed.
veyance and transfer, be lawfully seized and possessed of, and entitled to all the said rights, privileges,
franchises, property and appurtenances of said com-
pany, except as hereinbefore excepted, subject
nevertheless to such liens as may exist upon or
against the same at the time of said conveyance or
transfer.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Frederick
and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road Company be, and	Empowered to
it is hereby authorized and empowered, to lease in the	lease
manner prescribed in section first of this act, and to
the person or persons, body or bodies corporate
therein specified, or to any other person or persons,
body or bodies corporate, the rights, privileges and
franchises acquired under the said act of eighteen
hundred and seventy, chapter four hundred; pro-
vided, the assent of the said stockholders be first had
and obtained in the mode prescribed in the said first
section of this act.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the leasing of said
road, pursuant to the provisions of this act, shall not	Not to extin- guish corporate

but that the same shall continue, and be preserved
by the annual election of its President and Directors,
at the time and in the manner prescribed in the act
of eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter three hun-
dred and eighty-eight; and that said President and Directors so elected, from time to time, shall be
entitled to receive and disburse all sums of money
payable to the said company, by any lessee or lessees
thereof, or by any other person or persons, body or
bodies corporate, and to do or cause to be done, any
and all acts relating to the management and govern-
ment of said company, not inconsistent with the
terms and stipulations of such lease or leases as may
be made in virtue of this act.
