Said Resolution was then sent to the Senate.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point one additional Justice of the Peace for the second elec-
tion district of St. Mary's county,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Colton submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 4, add the following: "And that the County
Commissioners of said county be authorized to appoint an ad-
ditional Constable for said district."

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 72, of Article 5,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Calvert," sub-
title "Sheriff," and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Solomon's
Island Oyster and Fruit Packing and Manufacturing Com-
pany, of Calvert county, Maryland,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. T. H. Hamilton submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add additional section, to be section 8:

SECTION 8. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal this Act at
pleasure.

The proposed amenment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 81, of Article 20,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to "Talbot
County," sub-title "Easton," and to re-enact the same with
amendments,
