Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 189, of the Acts
of 1872, relating to Salisbury Academy, and to re-enact the
same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend section 18, of an Act
passed at January session, of the General Assembly, in the
year 1868, chapter 195, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Emmittsburg Rail Road Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact sec-
tions 954 and 955, of an Act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the session begun in 1861, chapter 29, enti-
tled an Act to ratify the purchase, and to provide for the
organization and government of Druid Hill and Patterson
Parks, belonging to the City of Baltimore, by incorporating
certain additional sections in Article 4, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, and to add a section thereto,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Loane submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out section 2, and section 960.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Gill submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out section 3.
Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bank of Denton,
in Denton, Caroline county, Maryland,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Dawson submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out section 26, and change numbers of succeeding
sections, so as to read sections 26, 27, 28.
