Mr. Thompson, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend sections 46 and 48, of an
Act passed at the session of 1853, chapter 53, and to re-enact
said sections to read as follows.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Leonard, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to change the place of voting in the
7th district of Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Seth, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 6 and 13, of ait
Act passed at the January session, 1872, chapter 244, enti-
tled an Act to authorize the appointment of Weighers of
Grain by the Governor, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Wack, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
upon

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the Act of
1870, chapter 77, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Frostburg, in Allegany county, and to re-enact the same in
an amended form.

Which, was read a first time.

The Joint Resolution instructing the Senators, and re-
questing the Representatives in Congress from Maryland, to
use their best efforts to secure the passage of a law requiring
the National Banks to retain in their vaults the gold inter-
est they may receive from the United States Government,,
upon the reserve, &c.,

Was read a second time and passed by yeas and nays, as-

follows:
