The bill entitled an Act to repeal the second section of the
Act passed at January session, 1870, chapter 362, entitled
an Act to assess and collect taxes on the property of the sev-
eral railroad corporations chartered by the State of Mary-
land, and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add
the same to Article 81 of the Code of Public General Laws
of this State,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Leonard submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Sec. 1, line 11, strike out all after the word "State."
Which was adopted.

Mr. McColgan moved that the vote by which the amend-
ment was adopted be reconsidered.

The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,

The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate hill
entitled an Act authorizing the Baltimore, Chesapeake and
Delaware Bay Rail Road Company to charge tolls on freights
and passengers, to reduce the par value of the capital stock,
&c.

Said bill being upon a third reading,
