Elector as aforesaid, all which will appear by
reference to the Legislative Journal, the Journal
of Proceedings of the Electors, and the Journals
of accounts ; and whereas the said John Steven<s
Sellman has by his petition reciting the facts as
aforesaid, prayed this General Assembly to pass
a law providing for payment to him of the mile-
age ($8.00) and of the per diem ($4.00) from the
seventh day of October, eighteen hundred and
thirty- six, when he qualified, to the nineteenth
day of November, eighteen hundred and thirty-
six, when the Senate was elected, as aforesaid,
amounting in all to one hundred and eighty dol-
lars ; now, therefore,

Treasurer to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of Maryland, on
the warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury,
be, and is hereby required to pay to John Stevens
Sellman, of Anne Arundel County, or to his
order, the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars
due him as an Elector of Senate in conformity
with the facts recited as aforesaid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

nary, Frederick County," passed January Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter

of Maryland, That the Trustees of the Burketts-
ville Female Seminary be, and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to issue and sell certifi-
cates of scholarships in said Seminary in such man-
