=ny threatning words Did lay violent hands on Richard Higgenbothem Tailor to thrust him out of Doores
being late att night & hee y said Richard refuseing to bee gon hee being in y present Service of y Sd Browne
was by y sd Jones beaten severall blowes & after resistance made by y sd: Richard Higgenbothem Wm
Leighton fell alsoe upon him untill parted by y said Browne whoe being Called Commanded his Lopps

Shirt of his back & sides in severall parts Calling him Scotts rogue & rebell with many theatininge
expressions saying yt hee had not a roofe to cover his head hee y sd: Jones having a better right to y

3dly Then the Sd: Jones & Leighton went away being about eight or nine of y Clock att night & returning ~~
againe about midnight when all y family was quiett & att rest Did Call to open y Doore or else hee
would breake it open whoe not being answered Did endeavour y breaking itt open y said Doore which
not getting Done Did Call to Leighton to fetch fire with other expressions yt I Did not Distinctly heare
upon which Mr: Browne Spake to Jones asking him what hee wanted & what hee meant who replyed
open y Doore for I am now Come with force & have gott more men upon which y said Browne Called
out att a windowe to y maid Servant who lay in y quarter to fetch a Coale to light a Candle and the
Candle being lighted & y Doore opened Two tall men besides Jones & Leighton fledd out of y porch & went
away as I heard y Said maid & Severall of y men Servants then Say yt Saw them & further Saith not
