Imprs: That about y beginning of June Last Capta: Thomas Jones being in my now Dwelling house & there
Drincking beere being accompanied by Severall persons Did then & there threaton Severall Civill neightbors
draweing his rapier & they fflyeing was pursued by y Said Jones untill some left their hatts in theire
fflight to escape him y said Jones returning to my said house & thrusting his rapier pointe into the
post of y porch Did there hang itt Swearing their Death yt would enter y house: /
2d The Said Jones being att my house aforeSaid y 16th this instant July Did then & there about 9 of y Clock
att night violently fall upon Richard Higgenbothem tailor to thrust him out of Doores & Did beate him
severall blowes before y said Tailor resisted or Defended himselfe y Said Tailor for that time being
att work att my house & then was one of my ffamily: / :
3ly William Leighton planter alsoe falling upon y Said Higgenbothem violently & I not being present all
y aforeSaid while was Called by my wife whoe told mee yt Jones & Leighton aforesaid would kill y
aforesaid tailor upon which I came & finding y said Leighton & y Tailor fighting I Commanded
his Lopps peace parting them asunder & whilst I was in y exercise of my office as aforesaid y Sd
Jones laid hold upon mee rending my Shirt in peices & often Calling mee Scotts rogue Sayeing I
was a rebell with many othr: threatning & Scurrilous words often repeated as alsoe sayeing yt hee had
