Presented, Fall 1994 Donor, David O’Dunne (son) Owner, Baltimore City Circuit Court Private Career: Admitted to bar, c.1899 Private practice, 1910-1925 36th President, Bar Association of Baltimore City, 1914-1915 Public Service: Assistant State's Attorney, Maryland, 1903-c.1905 Deputy State's Attorney, Maryland, 1905-1910 Chairman, Special Commission to Study the Maryland Penal System, 1908 Associate Judge, Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, 1926-1945 Comments: Appointed to the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City by Governor Albert C. Ritchie in 1926 and within a year won election for a full fifteen year term. He was also re-elected to another fifteen year term in 1951, but retired at the age of seventy in 1945. While serving on the bench, taught criminal law and medical jurisprudence at the University of Maryland School of Law, Johns Hopkins Medical School and the University of Baltimore School of Law. |
